Overview
The Department of Marathi was established with a vision to conserve Indian culture, literature, and regional language.
We promote the mother tongue in all sectors of human life. The department has offered the B.A. Marathi graduate program
since 2002 and introduced M.A. Marathi in 2021.
Currently managed by two expert faculty members, the department features a valuable collection of manuscripts and
focuses on the historical study of Marathi language and culture.
Objectives
- To create interest in Marathi language and literature among students.
- To encourage creative and applied usage of the Marathi language.
- To enhance employability through language proficiency.
- To inspire learners to create modern literature.
VISION
- To develop student personality through linguistic excellence.
- To cultivate essential skills and latent potential in students.
MISSION
To provide opportunities for widening the vision of rural youth and make them competent and responsible citizens of India.
