Department Overview

The Department of Geography, instituted in 2007, is one of the major departments in the institute. We offer a 4-year undergraduate B.A. programme in Geography (Choice Based Credit System - NEP 2020) spread over 8 semesters. The curriculum provides specialized skill sets in Geomorphology, Climatology, Economic Geography, Population, and Cartography. Our department strives for excellence in teaching and research, guiding students through projects and socio-economic issues.
